Jonathan Kim graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2010. He then completed Montgomery College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program with honors in the spring of 2013. Jonathan first joined the Bethesda M.O.S staff as a physical therapist aide in the summer of 2010 and is now working at both Germantown and Bethesda clinics as a staff PTA. Jonathan’s primary focus when treating patients is to educate/re-educate the body how to move effectively and efficiently for optimal sports performance and everyday functional activities. He is certified in assessing body movements by using the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and TPI (golf assessment) to analyze areas of dysfunction.

Jonathan is currently studying for his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and plans to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Jonathan is seeking to specialize in working with golfers, overhead throwing athletes, and upper extremity injuries while developing proficiency in all generalized fields of orthopedic sports physical therapy. He is also head of the Sports Ministry at his church and enjoys circuit training, Olympic lifting, playing golf, sharpening his culinary skills, and watching his hometown teams, especially the Washington Nationals.
