Custom Durable Medical Equipment

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics: Maryland Orthopedic Specialists Division is a leading provider of custom durable medical equipment. We offer a wide range of personalized assistive solutions to address your specific healthcare needs, including custom splints for hand therapy, orthotics, casting, boots, crutches, walkers, canes, slings, wrist braces, knee braces, and ankle braces.

Our dedicated team combines expertise with a commitment to quality and innovation to design durable equipment that enhances your comfort, mobility, and independence. Experience the difference of custom-made excellence in your healthcare journey with us.

Custom Splints for Hand Therapy

Custom-designed splints are meticulously crafted to provide optimal support and immobilization for injured hands or wrists, aiding in the rehabilitation process. By precisely fitting the contours of the hand, they promote healing and restore functionality, ensuring a comfortable and effective therapy experience.

Custom Orthotics

Tailored to fit the unique anatomy of each individual, custom orthotics offer personalized support and alignment for foot and lower limb conditions. By correcting biomechanical imbalances and distributing pressure evenly, they alleviate pain, improve gait mechanics, and enhance overall mobility, allowing for a more active and pain-free lifestyle.

*You will need to contact your insurance to verify coverage for your custom orthotics.

Casting

Casting involves the application of a specialized material, such as plaster or fiberglass, to immobilize and protect injured bones or soft tissues. This technique provides stability and support, allowing for proper healing while preventing further damage. Whether used for fractures, sprains, or post-surgical recovery, casting plays a crucial role in promoting optimal outcomes and restoring function.

Boots

Orthopedic boots are robust footwear designed to stabilize and protect the foot or ankle following injury or surgery. With their durable construction and adjustable features, they provide superior support and protection while promoting mobility during the healing process.

Crutches, Walkers, and Canes

These assistive devices are indispensable tools for individuals with mobility impairments, offering stability and support during the rehabilitation process. Crutches provide weight-bearing assistance, walkers offer broader support for balance and stability, and canes aid in walking and maintaining balance. With their adjustable features and ergonomic designs, these devices help individuals regain independence and mobility after injury or surgery.

Slings and Wrist Braces

Specially designed to immobilize and protect the shoulder or wrist joint, slings and wrist braces are essential components of post-injury or post-surgical care. By stabilizing the affected area and limiting movement, they promote healing and prevent further injury, allowing for a safe and effective recovery process.

Knee Braces and Ankle Braces

These orthopedic devices are tailored to provide targeted support and stabilization for the knee or ankle joint. Whether used for injury prevention, rehabilitation, or post-surgical support, braces help alleviate pain, improve stability, and enhance mobility. With their customizable features and advanced designs, knee and ankle braces offer optimal comfort and protection, enabling individuals to stay active and confident in their daily activities.

All of these services are provided directly in our office, ensuring convenience and comprehensive care for our patients' orthopedic needs.
